Obituary of Jane Wildermuth Hebden

Please share a memory of Jane to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jane Wildermuth Hebden, age 92, a resident of Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale for the past 15 years and a former long-time resident of Jenkintown departed this earth and entered heaven, her final home on January 7, 2019. She was the beloved wife of late John "Jack" Hebden (d. 2006), mother of John C. Hebden, and Jill A. Hebden Miller, and dear "Mom-mom" to her eight grandchildren: John T. Hebden, James Hebden, Courtney Sneed married to Ian, late Ashley Frearson married to Dave, John Miller married to Pam, Kimberly Miller, Andrew Miller married to Natasha and Emily Price married to Blake, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Jane grew up in a very German household in the Olney section of Philadelphia. She spent summers down the shore, at her parents' home in Longport, NJ, where she met Jack in 1943, and fell head-over-heals in love. Three weeks later Jack left to serve in Italy at the Anzio Beachhead and the Battle of Casino during WWII. She faithfully wrote Jack every day, until he came home. They married on October 10, 1946. She beautifully furnished their first home from her waitressing wages; her appreciation for beauty would infuse her life, relationships and the gifts she gave. Over the years, Jane nurtured long friendships, going back to fourth grade: Jackie, Gloria, Nancy and Betty. Jane loved to be out and about. As one of the fastest typists, she worked downtown supporting a busy doctor's office for many years. Evenings she and Jack looking for ways to make ends meet, fabricated hairnets, and were paid by the pound. When Jack started with State Farm, Jane worked faithfully by his side, doing all the bookkeeping for 42 years. They traveled the world when Jack won trips for his sales; her favorite place was Interlaken, Switzerland. Jane loved to be busy about Jesus too. She was active in Christian Women's Club for many years becoming a chapter leader and then area director in the Philadelphia area. She and Jack faithfully attended church starting at Messiah Lutheran on Broad and the Boulevard, and then Berachah, and finally Chelten where Jack served as a beloved elder. Jane was famous for hospitality: she loved to throw parties with charades, beautiful table settings, and plain fun. Now she is enjoying a party like no other, as she joins the feast in heaven: "But here on this mountain, God-of-the-Angel-Armies will throw a feast for all the people of the world, A feast of the finest foods, a feast with vintage wines, a feast of seven courses, a feast lavish with gourmet desserts. And here on this mountain, God will banish the pall of doom hanging over all peoples, The shadow of doom darkening all nations. Yes, he'll banish death forever. And God will wipe the tears from every face. He'll remove every sign of disgrace From his people, wherever they are. Yes! God says so!" Isaiah 25:6-8 Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sat. Jan. 12, 2019 in the Auditorium of Brittany Pointe Estates, 1001 Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, where relatives and friends will be received from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment in Hillside Cemetery will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Joni and Friends Pennsylvania, 121 E. Chestnut St., Suite 101, Souderton, PA 18964.
