JOHN D. "JACK" HARRISON, age 85, a resident of Spring House, PA and Jupiter, FL, died surrounded by his family at his home on Sunday, May 2, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Marce Moore Harrison for 64 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William Joseph Harrison, Jr. and the late Florence Fisher Harrison and the brother of the late W. Joseph Harrison, III. Mr. Harrison graduated from Central High School in 1942 and in 1949 from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He served as First Lieutenant with the US Army Air Corps during World War II and also served in Japan during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner and President of Quality Weaving Company in Philadelphia and later in Hatfield, PA and Newton, NC. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, John D. Harrison, Jr. and his wife Jane; daughter, Marce Becker; grandchildren, Matthew Harrison, Elizabeth Becker and Alexandra Becker; brother Donald Harrison and his wife Nancy and by two nephews and a niece. His memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 7, 2010, Baron Rowland Funeral Home, 1059 Old York Road, Abington, where friends will be received from 10:00 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Abington Memorial Hospital Home Care Hospice, 2510 Maryland Road, Suite 250, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
