Florence Stapler Lippincott, 89, of Highlands, New Jersey, died suddenly on February 11, 2015, in Sarasota, Florida. Ms. Lippincott was born and raised in Medford, New Jersey, where her family had a farm. A birthright Quaker, with ancestry from the origins of Quakerism in 17th Century England, Ms. Lippincott was a lifelong member of Medford Friends Meeting. She was graduated from Moorestown Friends School in 1944 and from Earlham College in 1948. While continuing to help with the family farm, Ms. Lippincott lived and worked in Manhattan, pursuing a long career as a New York sales representative for several North Carolina yarn mills, including Aberfoyle and Carolina Maiden, until her retirement in 1999. Ms. Lippincott's leisure interests included European travel, golf, skiing, politics, ballet, art, and theatre. Her farm upbringing led her to a lifelong interest in gardening, with a special passion for her extensive collection of clivia plants. Her longtime companion, John S. ("Jack") Kenrick, died in 1981. She is survived by ten nephews and nieces. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service at Abington Friends Meeting, 520 Meetinghouse Road, Jenkintown, PA 19046, on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, Avon Foundation for Women, Attn.
